Same Day ACH

Transactions (withdrawals and deposits) may post to your account the same day as they happen – often in real time.

For example, you pay your mobile phone bill at 10:00am, it could be deducted from your account before 5:00pm on the same day.  If you don’t have enough money in your account, you  may be charged an overdraft fee!  This applies to checks, online payments, debit card transactions – anything involving transactions on your accounts.

Changing Seasons has no control over when transactions clear your account. It depends on when the company you scheduled the transaction with (made the payment to or bought something from) processes their transactions. We also can’t control whether or not your direct deposit will go into your account before any transactions are processed that day.

What can you do?

Don’t assume transactions will clear the next day.  Habits can be hard to break and change can be difficult, but expect your transactions will clear immediately – plan ahead!

Check your balances frequently.  Mobile and online banking provide the most current information on your accounts.  Don’t spend more than your available balance. Even with member privilege or overdraft protection, keeping your account balance at a level that supports your spending is the best way to keep your account positive.

Only schedule payments when there are enough funds in your account to cover the amount. Member privilege and overdraft protection are available as a safety net, but should be used sparingly.

Ask questions.  Changing Seasons is here to help. If you need to speak with someone about this or any account questions, we can be reached at 207-945-6264, securely through online banking or for general questions info@changingseasonsfcu.com
